Cubism
Cubism is an innovative art form created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. It revolutionized European painting and sculpture and inspired many to start similar movements in music, literature, and architecture. In art involving cubism, the items in the picture are broken up and re-assembled in a new, abstract way. There are two types of cubism; analytic and synthetic. Analytic cubism was not abstract, while synthetic was the introduction of different textures, collage elements, surfaces and more, combined to create a piece of art. It shows a new perspective of the art. Cubism can also be done in photography, by taking an image and breaking it up in Photoshop. Nowadays, cubism is used commercially and by many contemporary artists. Cubism can also be used in sculpture and in the making of buildings.
